(PRLEAP.COM) West Bloomfield, MI –-Earlier this month, the new Horseshoe Casino, owned by Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. (www.harrahs.com), unveiled its $500 million expansion in Hammond, Indiana with an innovative new way to capture guest’s attention: a dramatic floriculture display designed by Planterra® Corporation,(www.planterra.com), a Michigan based interior landscape firm. The installation is proof of Planterra’s reputation as the national industry leader in innovative interior landscape design.

Giant multicolored Koi sculptures mark the entrance to the new 650-seat Village Buffet restaurant and adjacent to The Venue, a 2,500 seat theater. This eye-popping colorful floral and plant display, rising 15 feet from the floor, is a Las Vegas style attraction not to be missed.
"It is a treat working with a customer that understands design and entertainment as well as Harrah’s," stated Shane Pliska, Principal of Planterra.

Three giant Koi fish, covered in thousands of flowers are playfully displayed, as color-changing LED lights make the fish shimmer, as if swimming to a dance. The bright colors of the Koi are inspired by the Horseshoe’s summer line-up of big name rock-and-roll celebrities. The display is complete with hundreds of tropical Bromeliads, Liriope grass and even a simulated pond containing giant water lilies.

The seasonally rotating display is the vision of Stefan Huba, Horseshoe’s vice president of non-gaming, providing a playful point of interest for visitors to enjoy.

Rick Mazer, Indiana Regional President and General Manager, Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., commented, "We could have played it safe and executed a display that you would find in a hotel. However, we’re not a hotel, we’re a casino and this execution is perfect!"
