Oct. 19-21...Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Conference in San Francisco
The event is FREE for those who request a scholarship. Also, interpretation services will be available for Spanish speakers on the conference site.
More than 100 sessions will include presentations on medical research, insurance and employment issues, coping with the disease, and discussions with others living with thyroid cancer.
Speakers will include physicians, nurses, a pharmacist, attorneys, mental health professionals, and other specialists. In addition, support group discussions will give opportunities for survivors and caregivers to share their experiences and hear from others coping with thyroid cancer.
ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc., a nonprofit, all volunteer organization is the sponsor.
The event will be held on October 19 – 21, 2007 at the Sofitel San Francisco Bay Hotel, 223 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City, California.
