The Freedom of Speech Comedy Show coming to television

(PRLEAP.COM) No Contests, No Gimmicks and No Censorship. That’s the motto for The Freedom of Speech Comedy Series coming to Turner Networks starting January, 2008. With a viewer base of 2.2 million, the series is hoping to give the big networks a run for their money. Shot on location at comedy clubs across the country, the show doesn’t restrict the acts for content or language.

Of course any vulgarities will have to be bleeped out, the show will stay true to form and concept of what really goes on in a comedy club with unscripted backstage interviews.

Created and hosted by Award Winning Comedian Don Barnhart Jr, the show hopes to develop the next big comedy stars as some of the biggest names in Hollywood started out at the comedy club level.

Barnhart started out as the house emcee at The Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, CA opening for Robin Williams, Louie Anderson, Tim Allen, Jamie Fox, Jim Carey, Garry Shandling, Dennis Miller, David Spade and more.
